Quiet nice atmosphere. Nice personel. Delicious meal. One star deduction because of the long waiting time (about 1 hour until the food was there).

Great food, Augustiner on tap and the best Aperol Spritz in town!

Can only be recommended! Best fried potatoes ever and super friendly service! Gladly again!

One of German restaurants in Jena that serves good southern German style of food.

We were there for dinner today and would like to thank you! The service was super friendly, by changing the menu, the selection was currently a bit limited (but let's be honest, rather small selection and good quality than the other way around) but the chosen dishes were super tasty, fast at the table and very reasonably priced. There is high praise for the Wiener Schnitzel, and we would love to come back for that alone! The only downside, the dining room was a little cool. Until next time!

A small "rustic" restaurant. We were there last night. The food is a dream. Praise to the cook again. The restaurant has an almost antique and spartan interior. The only drawback, the dining room was a little under heated for our taste. We will definitely be back.

After the change of ownership not as museal as before, which is positive. I personally would have liked the rescue of more food from the old map. You could have spiced it up. Such a kind of Jägerschnitzel 2.0 for example.

Quaint pub with the best Haxe in Thuringia.

Very good the old GDR pub has always charm you have to take some time here, but price and performance is unbeatable in Jena! Who wants to visit this pub again must hurry, because unfortunately this closes in June !!! We can only recommend this pub and who likes to eat knuckle or pork knuckle should call and reserve! There are only these menus as in the pictures and there is still cooked right!

Iconic inn that still looks like it was 40 years ago. Food was delicious and really cheap. Should change owner in the middle of the year and will certainly not be like before. Absolutely visit before.

There is only one genuine place like that.

It is a very specific pub for a modern university city. The interior is not reminiscent of an old GDR pub - it is the original ... untouched ... apart from the wear and tear caused by thousands of guests. Many fall into a kind of nostalgic euphoria! And yet it's more of a cozy museum than a really cozy pub.

Simple but very good. Not for those seeking ambiance. Drinks are twice the size, yet cost the same. Bill of €22 was well worth it. Recommended for a cheap eat
